The ADA Symposium is a premier national gathering of people who work within the field of ADA compliance. Many organizations from all over get together to share knowledge and ideas to support people with disabilities. The Altura team is honored to have been attending these annual ADA Symposiums for over 20 years while achieving our fourth consecutive year of being a vendor!
This year, the symposium was held both virtually and in-person at the JW Marriott in Phoenix, Arizona. Our booth in Phoenix was manned by Chuy & Marilu while observing COVID-19 guidelines and Kate attended the symposium virtually. It was awesome that the symposium fell on the actual anniversary of the ADA and on July 26th we celebrated 31 years! We are proud to be a vendor and have great discussions about transition plans, accessibility training, and sharing our PROWAG knowledge. We enjoyed catching up with old friends and meeting new people dedicated to accessibility rights while learning the latest best
practices and discussing the changes coming to the International Building Code. Virtually, Kate was able to “move” from booth to booth and learn more about the vendors and cutting-edge transition plans from a distance. It was interesting to be able to connect with people from the comfort of our own homes and we are glad we were able to experience both types of ADA Symposium events. We look forward to next year’s ADA Symposium!
